You can buy our delicious pasture-raised whole chickens at the farm store, and the Anne Arundel County Farmers Market (Saturday), fresh every week, now through the end of October.
And don’t forget: We also have livers, hearts, gizzards, heads, and feet available.
Always corn/soy/GMO-free – and oh-so-tasty!
Sally has recently added a new title to her list of bestselling books!
In “Nourishing Fats: Why We Need Animal Fats for Health and Happiness,” Sally supports and expands upon the growing scientific consensus that a diet rich in good fats is the key to optimum health, and the basis of a sustainable, long-term diet. Drawing upon extensive research, she sets the record straight on saturated fat and its role in healthy brain, heart, kidney, lung, and hormone function.
You will learn how animal fats are not villains – they are vital for fighting infertility and inflammation, improving mood, relieving chronic disease and allergies – and how to add these essential fats back into your diet.
And, like all of her books, “Nourishing Fats” Includes delicious recipes!
Although we have finished our season of fresh chicken, our pasture-raised, corn/soy/GMO-free birds are available frozen through the winter.
Looking for chicken broth? We carry quarts of organic, pasture-raised chicken broth – a nourishing, healing balm for winter colds and other maladies. It soothes a sore throat, aids in clearing congestion, and warms the soul.
Did you know that broth is a great way to start your day? Broth for breakfast increases energy, is easy on the digestion, and will promote a stable mood throughout the day.
Our chicken stock comes from Oasis, a small family farm in Pennsylvania, and is $9 per quart.
We are pleased to announce the launch of Sally’s very own blog!
Nourishing Traditions: The Blog That Challenges Politically Correct Nutrition and the Diet Dictocrats
Sally will be exploring her favorite subject – healthy food – posting updates on the science of nutrition, traditional diets, raw milk, and meal planning, as well as sharing interesting recipes. She will be discussing the need for healthy animal fats in the diet, which help with cellular energy, protection against cancer, maintaining an upbeat, happy mood, and more.
Her new blog also gives her the opportunity to write about other subjects she is passionate about, like farming and gardening, children, science, music, language and literature (especially Shakespeare!).
